PROJECT

PANTAULAH is a fun side project, vibecoded into existence. A real-time intelligence dashboard for Malaysia that synthesizes 50+ government metrics across all 16 states and federal territories into an interactive choropleth map — covering economy, crime, health, transport, education, and energy. Live feeds include weather, highway CCTV, flight tracking, exchange rates, and fuel prices.

Government sources are used where available, with named third-party live feeds for current conditions, flights, and seismic activity. No API keys are required for core functionality.

DATA FRESHNESS

Government datasets publish on different schedules, so not every metric is equally current. Live feeds (weather, floods, transit, flights, CCTV, exchange rates) refresh in seconds to minutes. Monthly statistics (CPI, trade, inflation, vehicle registrations) follow each agency's publication cycle. Annual statistics (GDP, crime, education, health infrastructure) can lag one to two years behind. Each value on the dashboard carries a vintage tag when it comes from an older year than the one selected.
